I just arrived in Bucharest, Romania a few hours ago. After our flight from Paris to Romania, we took a 2 hour bus tour around the city prior to our check in. Romania is truly a beautiful place still developing economically, making it a great stop before it becomes a tourist trap.
The pictures are examples of some beautiful buildings with amazing architecture that are peppered throughout Bucharest. The hotel we are staying in is nothing but superb. It is the Rin Grand Hotel and here a link to their website. Very contemporary in nature, just right for us young business school students! Here's the link: http://www.rinhotel.ro/en_index.htm.
I am cutting this one short now as I am headed off to dinner, and am starving!
Love ya'll,

Hey David- this is a good looking blog. Thanks for posting pictures. Wasn't it interesting that we came all the way to Romania to eat Chinese food at the hotel. Well, tonight we will get a taste of down home Romanian food. My favorites are the Ciorba de Burta (menudo Romanian style), sarmale (stuffed cabbage rolls), and mamaliga (same as with Italian polenta- a kind of yellow corn grits mush- the Romanians sometimes mix cheese in it). I am now sitting at the computer writing this at 5:30 am Romanian time. I can't sleep due to the jet lag. I hope I am not dragging today in class. By the way, did you notice the whiz bang technology in our rooms? The TV (LCD), telephone and computer are all connected to the network. This is truly a highspeed network.

Hey David-
I accidentally went to daveinromania.blogspot.com, and for just a split second I thought you might have turned into a skinny white guy with super long posts from Romania dating back to January. Wow, thankfully I noticed the mistake. Take pictures of the food. Miss you much!
